Adele M. Gulfo – President and General Manager of Primary Care (U.S.), Pfizer
Trained as a scientist in molecular biology, Adele is currently the general manager and president of the US Primary Care Business Unit. Adele joined Pfizer from AstraZeneca, where she was Vice President, Design-for-Launch Brands and Business Development. She previously led AstraZeneca’s Cardiovascular Business and was responsible for the launch and lifecycle strategy for Crestor, including the Jupiter trial. Adele also spent nine years at Warner-Lambert, where she led the campaigns that established Lipitor as a market leader.
Sarah Holloway, PhD – Senior Vice President, Sudler & Hennessey
Educated in the UK, Sarah holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Cambridge. She is currently SVP in Strategic Planning for Sudler & Hennessey, an advertising agency based in NYC. Sarah‘s career path has evolved from her first job as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, to a Market Researcher for Pfizer UK, followed by positions within the Market Assessment group in R&D to Director of Marketing for Lyrica in Worldwide Commercial Development.
Elizabeth M. Mutisya, MD – Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Solvay/Abbott
Dr. Mutisya received her MD degree cum laude from Harvard Medical School and her neurological surgery training at the University of California, San Francisco. She is also an MBA graduate of The Wharton School. Since joining the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Mutisya has held positions of increasing responsibility in both Medical Affairs and Research and Development at Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Cephalon, where she was instrumental for significant advances in the treatment of pain and other disorders. Currently she serves as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Solvay/Abbott, where she oversees US-based medical affairs activities and provides strategic counsel on all medical and scientific issues. She is a member of the US Executive Committee and the Global Medical Council.
Charlene Prounis – Managing Partner, Flashpoint Medica, an Omnicom Group Company
While beginning her career as a nurse and rising up to Assistant Head Nurse in the MICU/CCU at North Shore University Hospital, Charlene, a two-time entrepreneur, is currently the co-founder and managing partner of Flashpoint Medica, a mid-size healthcare advertising and medical communication agency. Her first-start up agency, Accel, was sold and merged to become part of Corbett Accel, another Omnicom Group Company. Charlene honed her advertising skills during her decade long stint at Grey Healthcare Group. Prior to healthcare advertising, Charlene was a sales representative for Searle Laboratories where she made the initial transition from nursing to the business side in sales.
